One Book, One City for Kids is an annual reading program that encourages all 5th graders in the city to read and discuss the same book. The program also strives to encourage a lifelong love of reading among students, to inspire readers to bring story ideas and themes to life through discussion, and to build collaborative ties between public libraries, school libraries, and area schools. This year the entire city will be reading The Epic Fail of Arturo Zamora by Pablo Cartaya.

In Chapter 16 Arturo is getting very frustrated with Wilfrido Pipo. Providing evidence from the text explain how Arturo takes out his frustrations.
brook@coit Arturo goes on stage and starts yelling at wilfrido pipo and protests against pipo place and wifrido gets really mad and calls for the security guards to get Arturo off the stage even though Arturo has the right to speak freely.

But he wasn't able too because the state council said that you cant build on their property because the building is too tall. So, I don't think Arturo epically failed

Kent Hills - Jenifer Because Arturo doesn't want the La Cocina De La Isla to closed down or get replaced from Wilfrido new place because a lot of people love Wilfrido place because he cares about the money and the fame he has a lot of the same building in diffenert states.
Arturo takes out his frustrations by yelling at Wilfrido, then Arturo was fighting the security with a sign because he was fighting for La Cocina's spot back for his family and the neighborhood. He did this because he couldn't take this Pipo Place madness anymore so he needed to fight back and show what family was to the neighborhood and show that La Cocina cares about family and really know what family is. This can be found on page 150 chapter 16 "When pot boils".

ReplyDeleteArturo gets his frustration out with Walfrido by saying that family matters and wilfrido responds him "Family will not save you or provide for you or keep you safe. The only thing that keeps you safe is money." Then Arturo let's his frustration go, "You're wrong, just because you dont have a family or dont care about them,doesn't mean they don't care about theirs." and he also gets a sign out that says "FAMILY IS COMMUNITY--COMMUNITY IS FAMILY"
Libanesa at MLK- Arturo takes his anger out by yelling in front of all the people in Wilfrido's festival. And that turns into a big discussion between Wilfrido and Arturo.

ReplyDeleteArturo takes his frustrating mind off by telling Carmen he likes her but it turns out wrong.After his epic fail of telling Carmen he likes her he protests about Community being family and family being community. That gets him in serious trouble because he get Wilfrido anxiously. Thats what gets the frustrating out his mind.

ReplyDeleteArturo was frustrated because Wilfredo Pipo kept on trying to be able to build his business on Arturo and his families' land. But he wasn't able too because the state council said that you cant build on their property because the building is too tall. So, I don't think Arturo epically failed

ReplyDeleteArturo put his frustration out on Wilfrido Pipo's festival. Arturo went up on stage while Wilfrido was talking and started talking about the restaurant. Arturo also said that community is family and Wilfrido does not care about the cummunity he just wanted the people of the community to vote for him. He got mad that Arturo said that community is family so Wilfrido snapped Arturo's sign in half. That is what Arturo put his frustration out on. I found my answer on pages 150 and 151.

Arturo still stand up for his family and Arturo still feels down and feels like he didn't do good enough.

ReplyDeleteArturo takes out his frustrations by yelling at Wilfrido, then Arturo was fighting the security with a sign because he was fighting for La Cocina's spot back for his family and the neighborhood. He did this because he couldn't take this Pipo Place madness anymore so he needed to fight back and show what family was to the neighborhood and show that La Cocina cares about family and really know what family is. This can be found on page 150 chapter 16 "When pot boils".

ReplyDeleteWhy I think that Arturo got frustrated because,Wilfrido pipo was stealing abuelo's words. Also he was just taking the costomers from La Cocina and he was just acting like he had courage but he didn't he was just lying.Also Wilfrido pipo was going back and forth with Arturo and he is just getting really frustrated.Also on page 147 Wilfrido pipo winked at Commissioner Garcia and Arturo got suspicious.Another thing that I noticed on page 149 is that when Arturo took the sign and went on stage and said FAMILY IS COMMINITY - COMMUNITY IS FAMILY.He said that because he was so frustrated with Wilfrido pipo.

Wilfrido winked at Commissior Garcia.He takes out his frustration by taking a sign when Carmen held it.It said family freindly commuity.Another way he takes his angry out by shouting in to the crowned at Wilfrido.Wilfrido was so red he looked like a crab that had been boiled so long it's claws were about to crack.He was disgusted by the sign.Wilfrido had no family really he said that on page 151 they are sneaking around trying to protest he said that this country people are free to buy property.Arturo swinged a sign in the air for the guards can't get him then when the guards got him aunt tuti said get your hands off my nephew.And Arturo was yelling at him to say what family is all about.

Arturo yelled at Wilfredo pipo and Wilfredo got super mad and the security gards and wanted to take Arturo down the stage.
